Functional Body Lab explores the architecture of your individual body. This practice includes soft tissue mobilization, applied anatomy, and movement techniques to build strength, improve function, and develop our awareness and capacity to move confidently in tune with our unique structure. Our intention is to improve full-body mobility, strength, and balance in a wide range of human movements for increased quality of living.
Props needed: foam roller, two therapy balls or tennis balls in a sock or tote, resistance bands (see below for resources), sticky mat, blanket or thick towel, and a wall or door. A recorded replay of this class will be available in your content library for one month.
Here are two online sources for resistance bands:
Standard Non-Latex Resistance Band SetLooped Band (for those with difficulty gripping)
Bands are color coded. Yellow is relatively light but helpful for shoring up weak or injured shoulders. Green provides more resistance for larger shoulder muscles, hips, and legs.
